Recent work
Recently, I have been working on still life table scenes in Maya. Using mental ray's global illumination and caustic light simulation options, I attempted to simulate realism in the setting of an indoor table scene with beer glasses and pop cans. I extended this idea to animation and ran a Maya dynamics simulation on a glass mobile/wind chime, with the purpose of animating caustic light effects.

Raytracing
Check out my raytracing page for some images (like the one below), that I created using software that I wrote myself.

Older work in Houdini
Here is a selection of some older assignments from Fine 328 (Advanced Electronic Imaging). I did modeling, shading, lighting, animation, rendering and basic effects in SideFX Software's Houdini. It was an incredibly interesting class and I was in a great environment to learn from the Fine Arts students and get a chance to build and develop my artistic ideas and vision, with the purpose of expressing these ideas in 3D. I learned lots of artistic concepts such as color theory and composition, and applied this to my homework projects that you see here.
